  • Barrie - Fireworks are only permitted in Barrie on the actual statutory holidays of Victoria Day, Canada Day, New Years Day, and for the recognized duration of the holidays known as Lunar New Year and Diwali unless authorized to do so. People are not permitted to set off any fireworks in, on or into any roadwork or park (defined by the by-law) or on or into any other private property for which permission has not been granted. The Noise By-law prohibits the detonation of fireworks between 11pm and 7am (9am on Sundays).
  • Orillia - Members of the public are prohibited from discharging fireworks within city limits on any day. All types of fireworks are prohibited from being set off.
  • Adjala- Tosorontio - The Township's Fireworks By-law 05-41 permits family fireworks only on Victoria Day and Canada Day, and the five calendar days immediately preceding and/or following each of these days.
  • Bradford - No person shall set off Family Fireworks except on Canada Day or the day designated as the Victoria Day holiday, as well as the two days immediately preceding and following the same.
  • Clearview - No person shall set off any fireworks except during the designated period on Victoria Day and Canada Day. In the event inclement weather on the designated days of Victoria Day or Canada Day makes it impractical to set off fireworks, the next day following Victoria Day or Canada Day shall be included as part of the designated period.
  • Collingwood - The current backyard fireworks bylaw in Collingwood was most recently amended in 2020 to limit the number of days they can be set off annually. Currently, personal fireworks can only be displayed on Victoria Day and Canada Day.
  • Essa - Family fireworks can be discharged between dusk and 10:00 p.m. on the following designated days - Victoria Day, Canada Day, and one calendar day immediately before the designated days. A Fireworks Permit is not required to be obtained for the discharge of family fireworks on designated days, in accordance with the Fireworks By-law 2020-59.
  • Innisfil - You can set off fireworks between dusk and 11 p.m. on the following holidays each year without a permit - First day of Lunar New Year, first day of the Islamic Month of Shawwal in observance of Eid al-Fit, Victoria Day, Third day of Diwali , Canada Day.
  • Midland - No person hold a display of or set off consumer fireworks on any day or days except on Victoria Day, Canada Day or as approved with applicable permit
  • Penetanguishene - The Town of Penetanguishene bylaw prohibits the use of fireworks outside of New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Victoria Day and Canada Day. On Victoria Day and Canada Day, fireworks can only be discharged between dusk and midnight.
  • New Tecumseth - Fireworks discharge is only permitted on Victoria Day, Canada Day and Diwali Day, in addition to one day before and after each holiday.
  • Oro-Medonte - Any person wishing to discharge consumer fireworks on any day shall obtain a permit from the Township. A permit is not required to discharge fireworks on Victoria Day, Canada Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. Consumer fireworks shall only be set off between dusk and 11:00 p.m. On New Year's Eve consumer fireworks shall only be set off between dusk and 1:00 a.m. of the following day. No person under the age of eighteen years of age shall purchase or discharge fireworks.
  • Ramara - Fireworks are permitted without a permit on Victoria Day between dusk and 11:00 pm on the weekend in which the holiday falls. Residents who live in Bayshore Village and all properties within the Township of Ramara zoned Shoreline Residential (SR), Village Residential (VR) and Hamlet (H), as defined in the Township of Ramara Zoning By-law 2005.85, must obtain a Fireworks Permit. Residents outside of the restricted locations do not require a permit to light off consumer Fireworks
  • Springwater - Fireworks should only be used in clear areas away from structures and dry vegetation. They should never be used on municipal property, such as parks or roads.
  • Tay - No person shall set off Consumer Fireworks within the Township of Tay at any time except as follows...Victoria Day – between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday preceding and including the statutory holiday Monday
  • Tiny - Fireworks can be set off on Victoria Day
  • Wasaga Beach - No person shall set off any fireworks except on the designated days of Victoria Day, Canada Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
