Cause of destructive Wasaga Beach fire under investigation
Fire started at one Waterview Road home and spread to a second
Investigators are probing the cause of two damaging fires in Wasaga Beach.
Emergency crews were called out just before 12:30 p.m. Thursday with reports of a structure fire on Waterview Road. Wasaga Beach Fire Services tackled the blaze while the OPP assisted with traffic control. Heavy smoke in the area impacted visibility.
Over the course of firefighting efforts, the fire spread to a neighbouring home and caused heavy damage to that property.
There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The OPP and Wasaga Beach Fire Service are working with the Ontario Fire Marshal.
