OPP have laid charges against four men in connection with a home invasion in Wasaga Beach on Dec. 6.

Police were alerted after the homeowner woke up because there were four suspects outside that person's home.

The suspects allegedly broke into the residence and threatened the homeowner with weapons.

They fled before police arrived.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

"Several surveillance videos obtained by investigators identified a suspect and suspect address resulting in physical surveillance. There was no concern for public safety since there were relations between the victim and the suspects," OPP said in a news release.

On Wednesday, various police units executed two search warrants in Wasaga Beach and Phelpston and arrested four suspects.

Police say they seized two replica handguns and a metal bat.

Two men from Wasaga Beach, ages 27 and 29, and two men from Phelpston, ages 28 and 30, have been charged with the following:

  • Forcible confinement
