The Skywalker Saga Comes To An End On December 20th

Director J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy have finally unveiled the name of the ninth film in the Star Wars Skywalker saga. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is the name of Episode IX, which is set to hit North American theatres on December 20, 2019.

The announcement was made during a showcase at a panel during Star Wars Celebration in Chicago
