Weekend full of disturbance calls and arrests at a Midland home

Drug, weapons, robbery and other charges laid

A Seventh Street residence in Midland proved to be a hotbed of trouble at the weekend with a number of disturbance calls made to provincial police.

Nine officers attended the location shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday about numerous people on the property. During the investigation, a Stinger BB pistol was seized from a man. Police said after he was arrested the male caused significant damage to the inside of an OPP cruiser. Police continued their investigation and seized a quantity of fentanyl and other drugs from individuals at the residence.

As a result, a 26-year-old Tay Township man was charged with possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief and drug-related offences. A 30-year-old Parry Sound man was charged with drug offences and fail to comply.

Police then arrested a 33-year-old Midland woman at the scene on outstanding warrants for numerous theft and fail to comply charges.

Officers were called back to the property on Sunday afternoon about another disturbance. A 32-year-old Christian Island man was charged with robbery, theft and several probation violations.

Police responded to three more disturbance calls at the property between Saturday and Sunday resulting in the towing of an unplated vehicle parked at the property.
