Simcoe County lakes and waterways are home to a variety of different species of fish, but depending on what kind of catch you're looking for you'll have better luck in certain spots. Here's a look at the best spots to catch certain species of fish in Simcoe County.

Lake Simcoe

Lake Simcoe is chock-full of fish, and is home to a few different varieties as well. Simcoe is home to Perch, Sunfish, Pike, Whitefish, Lake Trout, Largemough Bass & Smallmouth Bass.

Lake Couchiching

Heading out on the water a little farther north, and wondering what type of fish you might find on the end of your like? Lake Couch is home toPerch, Sunfish, Pike, Largemouth Bass, and Smallmouth Bass.

Lake Muskoka 

If you're venturing out for a fishing trip on Lake Muskoka you mat encounter Smallmouth Bass, Lake Trout or even the occasional Walleye.

Sparrow Lake

Just a little north-west of Orillia, you'll find Sparrow Lake. This gorgeous, peaceful body of water is also where you'll find Perch, Pike, Muskie, Smallmouth Bass and Largemouth Bass.

Kahshe Lake

One of the main cottaging lakes in Muskoka, Kahshe lake is tea coloured (due to a large number of dissolved organics), making it the perfect home for Perch, Crappies, Pike, Muskie, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass. It also boasts some pretty stunning sunrises, if you happen to be out on the water that early.
