Woman Dragged By Reversing Pickup

Police Are Looking For Witnesses As Woman Remains In Critical Condition

A woman was struck and dragged a short distance in a Bradford parking lot, and police are looking for anyone who may have seen it happen.

An elderly man was backing his pickup truck into a vacant parking spot at a Holland and Church Streets-area parking lot when, according to police, a pedestrian was struck.

It’s alleged she was dragged several feet before being noticed, and was then transported by County of Simcoe paramedics for treatment. She remains in Toronto hospital with what police describe as life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say the incident happened in a busy parking lot, and are appealing any witnesses to contact Constable Carl Jarvis of the SSPS Traffic & MArine Unit at (705)436-2141, ext. 2032.
