Woman Extricated After Vehicle Struck Rock Face
Crash Shut Down Highway 11 Just After Morning Rush
A crash closed off the highway in Huntsville for a time, and put one woman in hospital.
The OPP were summoned to the southbound lanes of Highway 11 at Stephenson Rd. 12 in Huntsville around 9:00 Thursday morning, with reports of a single vehicle crash there.
Investigators tell Barrie 360 it appears the female driver somehow lost control of her vehicle and veered off the highway, striking a rock cut. She was the only one in the vehicle.
Huntsville Fire extricated the victim, while Muskoka EMS transported her to hospital with non life-threatening wounds.
Highway 11 was closed for several hours due to the collision.
