The YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka has named its new Chief Executive Officer. After a lengthy year-long search, the YMCA’s Board of Directors appointed Jill Tettmann as their new CEO. Tettmann will step in for current CEO, Rob Armstrong who declared his intention to retire last year.
“With a vision that inspires people to reach their full potential, I’m thrilled to be joining the Y family; an organization that has long influenced the health and well-being of individuals and their communities,” said Tettmann.
“At a time where we are most challenged, I am committed to work with the great team of staff, volunteers, members and the broader community to support the Y in its recovery and renewal,” she stated.
Tettmann previsouly held the CEO title for the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network (NSM LHIN) from 2012-2019.
Prior to that Tettmann was on the Muskoka/Parry Sound District Health Council, Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Simcoe York and Northern Shores District Health Councils.
She holds a Master of Health Science in Health Administration from the University of Toronto, a Master of Community Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Certified Health Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
