Young Girl Recovering After Vehicle Failed to Stop in Bradford

Minor Injuries Reported

A teenage girl suffered some minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Bradford.

The 15-year-old was crossing at Collings Avenue near Magani Avenue around 5:00 Wednesday afternoon, according to South Simcoe Police, when she was hit. The driver remained on scene. Police say the vehicle involved failed to stop for a stop sign, and a 32-year-old Bradford woman has been charged accordingly.

Meanwhile, the driver of a pickup truck was also charged with failing to stop, following a collision around 10:30 Wednesday morning, at the intersection of 10th Sideroad and Highway 89. Police say the pickup went through the intersection without stopping and was struck by a dump truck. The driver and passenger of the pickup suffered minor injuries, the dump truck driver wasn’t hurt.
