Whether you have kids who haven't learn to swim yet or are just looking to switch it up with something different, there are a ton of splash pads in Simcoe County to bring the whole family to!

Splash ON

Exciting summer fun for ages 5 and up! Splash ON is a giant floating water park located just off the shore of Centennial Beach. There are plenty of options including all day, evening, and 5-day passes. Children aged 5 to 8 require an adult, however, the guardian gets on for free!

Barrie Canoe And Kayak Club

Whether you're a paddling expert or have never touched a paddle in your life, Barrie Canoe and Kayak Club have tons of programs and classes that will get you on the lake before summer is out! Grab a membership and sign up for lessons, paddle nights, summer trips, and special events. If you fall in love with paddling, they also have winter trips!

Flawless Wakes

If there's a watersport you want to try, you will be hard-pressed not to find it at Flawless Wakes. Seadoo tours and rentals, wake-boarding, tubing, and boat cruises are just the tip of the iceberg. They also have kids clubs for ages 5 to 15 with all skill levels welcome. Be sure to keep an eye out for their new attraction that is also coming soon: flyboarding!

Outdoor Sports At Centennial Beach

Centennial Beach is home to a pair of well-kept basketball courts and volleyball courts. You couldn't ask for a better backdrop while you're throwing up bricks or smashing down spikes. Grab the family and gather your friends or head down and see if anyone needs a teammate!

Outdoor Movie Screenings

The Barrie Film Festival is hosting an outdoor movie every Wednesday at Meridian Place! Family-friendly movies are best viewed under the stars! Bring your own snacks or grab some kettle corn from the vendor.

Public Art Walking Tour

The City of Barrie wanted to help foster our community as a creative hub. From now until August 28th you can meet at Meridian place every Wednesday at 7 PM for a walking tour of Barrie's most beautiful pieces of public art! The best part? It's completely free!

Tour Barrie's Waterfront

Barrie has 6.7 km of pristine trail for you to enjoy right along our beautiful waterfront. Grab your board, bike, or rollerblades and take a stroll down the paved path that spans all the way from the South Shore Centre past Centennial beach and beyond.

Scenic Caves Nature Adventures

Make sure you have you running or hiking shoes and grab a pass to Scenic Caves Nature Adventures! Explore nature trails and caves, walk the suspension bridge, try ziplining, go mining for gemstones, play some outdoor mini-golf, and more! A day full of outdoor adventures all in one place!

Hardwood Ski And Bike

Another place that is packed full of outdoor adventures and activities for the whole family! Hardwood Ski And Bike offers 80km of trails for any skill level. They also have trails to walk (or run), segway tours, and even outdoor disc golf!
