7 things to do this weekend (Feb 21st to 23rd)

Does a shorter work week make for a sweeter weekend?

This Barrie 360 feature has been brought to you by Simcoe Audio Video.

Reel Stories

Presented by the Barrie Film Festival, Reel Stories is a 4-day film festival showcasing ten of the best and most thought-provoking documentaries at Barrie’s Uptown Theatre. Tickets are only $10 per viewing and Barrie 360 will be previewing a handful of the fantastic films you can see leading up to the weekend including This is Not a Movie, Into the Canyon, and more.

February 20th to 23rd – Various Times

Coldest Night of the Year 2020

The Coldest Night of the Year fundraising event is back again this year supping Youth Haven and its fight to alleviate youth homelessness. There are a number of ways you can help including volunteering, donating, or throwing on your mittens, scarf, and boots, and joining in on the walk this weekend. Grab your friends and family because although it will be cold it will also be a lot of fun!

February 22nd – Registration is at 4:00 PM

Texas King live at PLAY

Last time Texas King visited Barrie they absolutely rocked the house at the Rock 95 Birthday Bash and chances are, unless you were very lucky, you missed that show. Thankfully they’re back in town and ready to melt some faces once again. They will be at PLAY on Saturday and tickets are only $10.

February 22nd – 9:00 PM

Barrie Colts vs Windsor Spitfires

What Saturday night would be complete without the Colts? Thankfully we don’t have to find out because the Visiting Windsor Spitfires will take on the Barrie Colts this weekend at Sadlon Arena. The Spitfires are having a pretty solid season so far but the Colts are quickly gaining ground since the head coach shuffle. It should be a highly competitive, exciting match up.

February 22nd – Puck Drops at 7:30 PM

Moonlight Snowshoeing

This one is for the Georgian College students looking for something a little different this weekend. For $25, Horseshoe Resort is offering snowshoe and headlamp rentals along with hot chocolate and marshmallows for a night of adventure under the stars. Oh, and it also includes transportation to and from the event!

February 22nd – 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
