Community Hockey Games Tuesday Evening In Support of Mental Health

5th Annual "Start Talking Cup"

The "Start Talking Cup" is an annual event dedicated to shining a spotlight on the mental health of young hockey players and youth in our community.

This year's event will feature two hockey games:

Bantam AA Barrie Sharks vs. Aurora Panthers & Minor Midget AAA Barrie Sharks vs. North Central Predators.

Each player and parent will be provided with "Safe Talk" training, encouraging them to open up conversations about mental health.

Tickets are only $5 and the proceeds will benefit the "Start Talking" Campaign. The Start Talking Campaign is a local movement that aims to encourage discussion and awareness about mental health in our community. To learn more about this campaign, click here.

Now in its 5th year, The Start Talking Cup has raised over $40 000 for Canadian Mental Health.

This year's Start Talking Cup will take place tomorrow evening (January 15th) at Holly Recreation Centre. Doors open at 5:30 pm. First game is at 6:30 pm, second game is at 8:15 pm.
