With the Canadian/U.S border closing to all non-essential traffic and most international flights beings cancelled, many Canadians are returning home and need to be picked up.
A vital piece of information you might not know is that because any Canadian returning home, whether they show symptoms or not, must self-isolate for two weeks, anyone who picks them up from the airport must also do the same.
Luckily, there is a way to get them home and limit your exposure (with the help of a friend with a second car). Head to the airport with two separate cars and once you get there have the person you're picking up load all their luggage (by themselves) into one of the cars and they will drive that car themselves. Follow them in the second car until they reach their destination, have them unload their luggage (again, only they should be touching it), and finally, have them wipe down and sanitize the car they were driving.
If this isn't an option, unfortunately, if you share a car with someone returning from another country you must also self-isolate for two weeks.
