Even during her 12 years as mayor, Janice Laking has always been a strong advocate for the Maclaren Art Centre. Now, in another act of generosity, she is matching donations made to the nonprofit for the next couple of months.

Every year, the Maclaren Art Centre provides programs, youth clubs, tours, exhibitions, and collections for the community to enjoy, however, since they are a registered charity they rely on the donations and generosity of private and public donors.

Every donation made to the Maclaren Art Centre in July and August will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $20,000 and will be directed toward the gallery's programming for children, youth, and families.

Make a donation and find more information about the Maclaren Art Centre here.
