To help encourage people to celebrate at home this year, Zoom will be lifting the restrictions normally applied to free accounts and allowing anyone to enjoy limitless Zoom for New Year's Eve.

Zoom has exploded in popularity in 2020 and while the company's value has begun to decay slightly, it has still quintupled its stock price since the same time last year.

Zoom has also provided a few tips to make the most of your virtual New Year's celebrations:

  • Ensure you protect your session from uninvited quests by requiring a meeting passcode, enabling waiting rooms, and not sharing share meeting ID's on social media
  • Don't forget to spice up your calls with filters and virtual backgrounds
  • Check out all the features of Zoom and how to use them creatively

You won't need to do anything extra to take advantage as it will be applied automatically to all accounts. The Zoom time limit will be lifted from 10:00 AM on December 30th to 6:00 AM on January 2nd.
