Disturbance call in Huntsville leads to assault charges, OPP say

Provincial police in Huntsville received a disturbance call in the town on Friday that led to assault charges.  

OPP say they responded to a Ferguson Road residence at 4:13 a.m.

"When officers arrived, an individual was arrested for assaulting two individuals," police said in a release.   

A 34-year-old Huntsville man was arrested and charged with: 

  • Assault - two counts
  • Mischief - destroys or damages property
  • Uttering threats - Cause death or Bodily Harm
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Police say there were minor injuries to the victims and they did not need to be sent to a medical facility.  

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing in Bracebridge court.
