Boomerang Bags Drop-In Community Sewing Bee

Borrow & Reuse
Boomerang Bags

Boomerang Bags Barrie is a community initiative that wants to reduce the use of 1-time plastic and paper bags. They create reusable bags from locally sourced fabrics for people to use if they have forgotten their own reusable bags. The bags can then be returned to any participating location in Barrie.

This Sunday, Boomerang Bags is hosting a drop-in community sewing bee where volunteers can help with sewing, cutting, pinning, ironing, and assembling do-at-home kits. This is also a great way to learn how to sew for the first time if you bring your own machine.

The sewing bee runs from 12 PM to 4 PM on Sunday, September 8th at the Barrie Public Library and you can get all the details from their facebook page.
