Community Spotlight: The Northern Appeal

The Northern Appeal is a bi-annual, non-profit literary journal giving local artists a platform to showcase their work and gain exposure.

The Northern Appeal was created to fill a creative vacuum that existed because young artists and writers felt proper exposure could only be attained by venturing South. Creating a literary journal for local artists to gain this exposure right here in Barrie and the surrounding area will help facilitate a culture of creative prosperity for our region.

The Northern Appeal has recently expanded its scope to include a publishing arm called The Northern Appeal Press. Giving local talent yet another way to showcase their works and gain meaningful exposure.
