Get wild while social distancing with the Toronto Zoo

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

It has been a few months since anyone could visit the animal kingdom but the Toronto Zoo is hoping to change that with a few unique ways to visit: virtually and from your car.

First up, the Toronto Zoo will be hosting two virtual camping nights with campfire stories, songs, and of course, a few visits from some of their animal friends. On May 16th you will get to meet some of the most incredible species from right here in Ontario and on May 17th it will be all about species from the African Savanna. Both nights take place from 7:45 PM to 8:45 PM and you can watch it free on the Toronto Zoo's Youtube channel.

If you have been looking forward to getting a little closer to the animals at the Toronto Zoo, they have begun doing some test runs for their new drive-through program. While there is no exact date for an opening it would allow visitors to experience the zoo from the comfort (and social distancing safety) of their car.

With phase one of Ontario's re-opening just around the corner, hopefully, it won't be long until we can take a trip to the animal kingdom again.
