Midland is hosting the largest butter tart festival yet again on June 8th! Now on its 7th year, Ontario's Best Butter Tart Festival has been growing every year with more and more events, activities, and of course, butter tarts! Be sure to come hungry and enjoy the festivities on the shores of Georgian Bay!
Vendors and Activities
Starting at 9 AM there will be buskers and entertainers, kids zone, live chainsaw performance, and over 200 vendors including food trucks! There will also be butter tarts galore with plain, raisin, pecan, walnut, cheesecake, pumpkin and many more!
Contests
Think your butter tarts are the best in Ontario? Put them to the test and get them judged by celebrities, chefs, and local dignitaries! There is separate judging categories for traditional and wild style categories along with the best in show!
Live Entertainment
Hosted at the Town Dock, The Rotary Club of Midland will host free, live entertainment including Meghan Ann, Matt Gerber, The Mugs, and Southern Comfort! This area will also be transformed into the 19+ "Party on the Dock" event for the evening!
Meet Maple Leafs Alumni
There will be a meet and greet with Toronto Maple Leaf alumni Mike "Shakey" Walton and 4 time Maple Leafs cup winner Eddie Shack in Harbourside Park!
Free Community BBQ
A free BBQ will be hosted from 12 PM to 2 PM at King Place Retirement where all are welcome! They will be selling butter tarts as well! (Obviously)
