This edition of Movers and Makers is brought to you by Busch Systems
Even pre-pandemic, mental health was a delicate topic and after being personally impacted by mental health issues, Teara and Dave Stringer knew they wanted to create something that would help support the community.
Shine to be Kind was created to shine a light on the goodness that humanity can provide for one another & to spread that prosperity through random acts of kindness & group initiatives that support, engage & inspire awareness for positive mental health throughout our beautiful community.
Some of the initiatives Shine to be Kind is currently undertaking are the 6 Pillars of Positive Mental Health which promotes physical, emotional, environmental, social, spiritual, and financial health, and Masked & Moving Forward which supports and showcases the struggles local businesses have been going through with video interviews.
Shine to be Kind also wants to curate accepting and welcoming social spaces for people to find support and talk to others who might be experiencing similar mental health issues through their Instagram and Facebook pages.
Movers and Makers: Shine to be KindWe shine our brightest, when we are our kindest.
