Orillia International Film Festival To Launch In 2020

And The Orillia Opera House Is Hosting A Kick Off Event This December
Orillia International Film Festival Launch

Attention local film fanatics, the Orillia Opera House is hosting a movie premiere to launch the inaugural Orillia International Film Festival.

Local filmmaker Jake Horowitz directed "Who You Know", a feature film shot mostly in Orillia last Summer about an aspiring screenwriter who writes a romantic-comedy script about his idol's daughter, in the hopes that it will get him a leg-up in showbiz. The film is currently touring film festivals all over North America and will be released on Crave in March but before that, there will be a special screening at the Orillia Opera House on December 4th at 7 PM. The cast and crew will be in attendance so it's a fantastic opportunity to support local filmmakers and pick their brains after the show.

The screening will also serve as a kick-off for the brand new Orillia International Film Festival which will open submissions and announce details about the first festival set for September 2020.

You can get more details about the event here.
