Simcoe County Opens Forestry Education Centre: The Red Pine House

To Coincide With national Forestry Week

The Grand Opening of the Red Pine House highlights the importance of our forests to the local community.

Located at the Simcoe County Museum, it also helps kick-off the #Green&Growing social media campaign. The Red Pine House overlooks the Kirtland's Warbler Forest and Habitat Restoration site and features history and artifacts from Simcoe County Forests and an interactive learning area for children.

With the current global landscape, Simcoe County wants to shed more light on the importance of not only our history but our natural history. The Red Pine House will have its grand opening tonight (Sept 24th) from 6 PM to 8 PM.
