Snowmobile crash in Tay lands rider in Toronto-area hospital

A snowmobiler was taken to a Toronto-area hospital with serious injuries following a crash on a Tay Township trail.

Around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Ontario Provincial Police were alerted about a collision near the intersection of Rumney Road and Elliott Sideroad.

OPP say the rider lost control of the sled resulting in the crash.

The rider was taken to a local hospital and then taken to a Toronto-area hospital due to the injuries.

The collision remains under investigation.
