The Screen One Series offers you a chance to see some extraordinary films from Canadian, independent and international cinema that you may not have been able to see otherwise. Screenings take place on the first Wednesday and Thursday of every month, all year round at the Barrie Uptown Theatre

Papi Chulo, Directed by John Butler, is a culture clash comedy with a lot of heart. Examining the nature of empathy and critiquing xenophobia, Papi Chulo stresses the importance of mending personal wounds without forgetting to love outwardly and see beyond the surface.
