Two transport trucks overturned at about the same time on a snow-covered Highway 11 in the Orillia area.

Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a tractor-trailer that was overturned on Highway 11 southbound just north of Line 10 in Oro-Medonte. Police say one person was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. Southbound traffic was reduced to one lane for several hours.

In a separate incident, Orillia OPP was called about a jack-knifed transport truck in the southbound lanes of Highway 11 north of Brennan Line in Severn Township. Both southbound and northbound traffic was cut to a single lane for recovery and cleanup.

There is no word if any charges were laid.
