Born at the start of the pandemic to help residents connect, The Barrie Families Unite Facebook page continues to evolve to meet the growing needs of the community. They cover everything from helping find seasonal clothing for those in need to offering crisis support. MJ got an update from Barrie Families Unite founder Nikki Glahn.
3. Loud Driver Wakes Up Most of the City
Earlier this week, social media lit up early morning with many Barrie residents complaining about being woken up from their sleep by the squealing of tires and the echo of a throaty muffler on streets all over town. People wondering why police haven't done something about it. Turns out it's not that easy ... and the penalties are not much of a deterrent. We spoke with Barrie Police Communications Co-ordinator Peter Leon.
