The first trailer for Greta Gerwig’s remake of Little Women is here, and it stars huge names like Meryl Streep, Emma Watson, Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, and more.
The film, which is based on Louia May Alcott’s 1868 novel of the same name, revolves around the lives of the March sisters in a post-Civil War New England. The forthcoming flick will mark the eigth adaptation of the story, and the trailer shows Gerwig truly giving the tale her own twist.
“Women, they have minds, and they have souls, as well as just hearts,” Ronan states in the trailer. “And they’ve got ambition. And they’ve got talent, as well as just beauty. I’m so sick of people saying that love is just all a woman is fit for. I’m so sick of it!”
