1. Homelessness and the Barrie Municipal Election
Homelessness is top of mind for many as we head into the municipal election and candidates are talking about it. But those involved in helping the homeless are talking about about what the city and the county have been doing to address it.
Jennifer Van Gennip is one of several local advocates whose voices are getting louder as their frustration grows.
2. A Warm Fall Ahead of Us?
He nailed the summer forecast ... sunny and warm for the most part with no long stretches of extreme heat.
So with Fall upon us, we reached out again to Environment Canada's David Phillips for his forecast for the next three months as we bridge the gap between summer and winter.
3. Funding For Barrie's Women and Children's shelter
Barrie's Women and Children's shelter was hit hard by the pandemic. Unable to fundraise while more women and mothers were seeking help. Now, the shelter is still feeling the strain but is getting some financial help from Shoppers Drug mart.
